There's something magical about intimate weddings in London, and Emily and Roland's celebration at the historic Old Marylebone Town Hall was exactly that—a perfect blend of classic elegance and modern romance.

A Classic London Beginning

The day started in two iconic London locations. Emily got ready at the stunning West Lodge Park Hotel in Hadley Wood, surrounded by her five bridesmaids. Her hair was beautifully styled by Andria at Winchmores Hair and Beauty, and she wore a breathtaking gown by Andrea & Leo from Fairy Gothmother—a dress that perfectly captured her style. Meanwhile, Roland prepared at home in Winchmore Hill.

I remember arriving at Roland’s home — it was such a lovely experience meeting his parents. Even without speaking English, we managed to laugh together and capture some beautiful moments. The energy in the room was special — a mix of nerves and intimacy that made that moment with his parents truly touching.

Seeing Emily with her friends and her sister was such a sweet moment, but it was the hug with her dad after the first look that truly moved me. It brought tears to my eyes — one of those moments that reminds me why I love what I do.

The Knightsbridge Room Ceremony

At 3:30pm, in the intimate Knightsbridge Room at Marylebone Town Hall, Emily and Roland exchanged their vows. With just 30 close friends and family watching, it was one of those rare moments where you could feel the love in the room. The historic venue on Marylebone Road provided the perfect backdrop—all that stunning architecture and natural light that makes this space so special for wedding photography.

I fondly remember that first hug you shared in the aisle right after the ceremony — and how I captured it from a distance. It was such a beautiful, heartfelt moment.

A London Adventure

After the ceremony, we had one of my favourite parts of the day. Emily and Roland wanted to capture some moments at either Regent's Park or Primrose Hill on the way to their reception, so we hopped in the traditional London black cab from Traditional London Wedding Taxis and made it happen. There's nothing quite like using London's parks as your backdrop—the autumn light, the city energy, just the two of them celebrating.

Emily and Roland danced, looked at each other, we walked around, and had an incredible time together.

The Depot Reception

The evening celebration continued at The Depot in North London, where approximately 90 guests joined them for dinner and dancing. The industrial-chic space in Carpenters Mews was transformed with beautiful florals by Panache from Winchmore Hill. Emily's sister Rose created their wedding cake—those personal touches always mean so much—and DJ Andy Black kept everyone on the dance floor.

The bridesmaids looked stunning in their Azazie dresses, and Roland and his groomsmen were sharp in their suits from Aristocracy London. Everything came together beautifully.

The Details That Mattered

What struck me most about Emily and Roland's wedding was how they prioritized what mattered to them. An intimate ceremony with their closest people, followed by a bigger celebration at night. Time for photos in London's beautiful outdoor spaces. Personal touches like a homemade cake. These choices made their day authentically theirs.
